This means it will fit nicely into a far smaller case than some of its bigger brothers. Like the last few cards we’ve reviewed, the RTX 4060 Ti is back to taking up just two slots in your machine. Let’s dig into those specs and see what each of those hardware pieces mean. That is to say, 4352 Cuda cores, 48 ROPs, 2535 boost clock, 2250 memory clock, and 8 GB of DDR6 RAM, running on the Ada Lovelace AD106 architecture. The first thing I noticed is that the hardware under the hood is precisely the same as the Founder’s Edition. Recently I’ve gotten my hands on the PNY GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Verto (that’s the model with dual fans), wanting to get a look at what changes the 3rd party manufacturer might bring to this reference architecture. While the reception on the 40 Ti has been a bit icy in some circles, I felt differently about the RTX 4060 Ti Founders Edition in my review, recognizing that the price does feel a touch higher than it should be, and the 8GB of RAM is too big a cut, but that the performance is solid, especially when linked up with DLSS 2.0 and even more so when the titles take advantage of DLSS 3. Not everyone is ready to upgrade though, meaning the objective becomes more about maximizing your return on investment rather than just having the biggest and brightest. PCIe 5.0 NVMe drives, new power delivery cables and PSUs, and fresh generations of processors, boards, and more. There is a groundswell of new tech coming to market lately, and not everyone is ready to take advantage. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti has a specific niche, and in that niche it does very well.
